Misalignment isn't free...or easy.

Leading with Synergy

Do you know what misalignment is actually costing you and your team? It's probably more than you think...

Dear One,

Last week we reframed the idea of unity. Not as sameness.

But as synergy—aligned movement toward a shared purpose.

Because real progress doesn’t come from everyone thinking the same way.

It comes from people moving in the same direction with clarity about what matters.

But this week we have to talk about the other side of that truth...

Misalignment, but not the obvious kind.

The quiet kind.

The kind that hides inside busy calendars, ambitious goals, and good intentions.

Misalignment shows up when:

• teams work hard but progress stalls
• brilliant people duplicate the same work in different corners
• leaders carry more weight than the system was designed to hold

And over time, that misalignment creates 3 very real costs:

1.Exhaustion.

When energy is spent navigating confusion instead of creating impact.

2.Duplication.

When multiple people solve the same problem without shared awareness.

3.Stalled progress.

When effort increases but outcomes do not.

Most of the time, this isn’t caused by a lack of talent or commitment.

It’s caused by something simpler.

We are moving…

But not always in alignment.

And when movement isn’t aligned, it creates friction.

Friction that slows progress and drains energy.

Where are we doing work that could be shared?

Where are we carrying responsibilities that belong to the system, not the individual?

Because the goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is awareness.

Awareness creates choice.

Choice creates alignment.

And alignment creates synergy.

The Synergy Accelerator Assessment is designed to help you uncover the hidden leadership patterns that quietly disrupt synergy — especially for high-capacity Black women leaders.

If you’re ready to lead with intention instead of assumption, begin by taking the assessment.

Sometimes the first step toward progress is simply seeing the system clearly.

We’ll continue exploring this together throughout the week.

P.S.: This week’s reflection invites a deeper level of honesty.

Where might misalignment be costing more than we admit?

Let's figure out what is sabotaging your synergy!
